About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website at thedetailinglab.co.nz and any detailing services booked with The Detailing Lab NZ, 72 Bourke Street, Palmerston North, New Zealand. By booking a service or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Bookings and quotes

Prices shown on this website are indicative and GST-inclusive. Final pricing is confirmed after an in-person inspection of your vehicle, as condition, size, and contamination level affect the work required. Bookings are confirmed once we've agreed a time and (where applicable) service tier with you directly.

Cancellations and rescheduling

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, so we can offer the slot to another customer. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may require a deposit for future bookings.

Vehicle drop-off and collection

Please remove personal belongings and valuables from your vehicle before drop-off — we are not responsible for items left inside. Vehicles left with us are handled with care, but are otherwise left at the owner's risk while on our premises, except where loss or damage is caused by our negligence.

We will note any pre-existing damage or defects (e.g. paint chips, scratches, worn trim) at drop-off. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions we could not reasonably have caused.

Service outcomes

We take pride in showroom-quality results, but outcomes for paint correction and ceramic coating depend on your vehicle's existing paint condition and age. We'll advise you upfront if a particular result isn't achievable on your vehicle. Ceramic coating longevity estimates are guidelines, not guarantees, and depend on aftercare and exposure.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods advised at booking.

Website use

Content on this website (text, images, logo) belongs to The Detailing Lab NZ unless otherwise noted, and may not be reproduced without permission. We aim to keep this website accurate and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the value of the service provided. Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
